Hello. My name is James Clavel. I’m American, but I live in Japan. I used to live in Shanghai, and I went to a Chinese public school. I’ve also been to Beijing and Shenzhen. The Great Wall of China was very beautiful. I like to play baseball, and I also like to study Chinese.
While living in Japan, I forgot a lot of my Chinese. So, during vacation, I come to China to study Chinese. From my experience, Chinese is a very important language. I think that Chinese is important because it’s the most spoken language. For example, I can use Chinese to buy things, chat, and I can also understand Chinese people’s views. So, because of these reasons, I think that Chinese is a very important language.
I’ve already studied at Miracle Mandarin for two years. My teachers are Han laoshi and Zhang laoshi, and I like all of the teachers here. Even when I move to America, I’d like to keep on speaking Chinese. Even though it’s a hard language, I’d like to maintain my gift of being able to speak Chinese.
