I would like to thank you, Lijie, for your excellent teaching and ability to explain things so well in English. I would like to thank you, Shen Laoshi(Shen Xiang Meng), for your confidence in my characters and forcing me to use characters in Speaking 3, which although was difficult, I really enjoyed. I will definitely continue my Mandarin studies in Hong Kong, because you have taught me so well and I really love learning your language.

I just finished my second course at Miracle Mandarin and I must say even though the miracle has not made its appearance yet, I can feel it is somewhere close - just about to show up. My dear teachers Gu Yijun, Gao Yue, Zhang Ting and Qian Ya li have been amazing so far. Very patient and sooooo friendly. After making more than one approach to Chinese previously, I must say at Miracle Mandarin I finally found something useful!

My plan was to be able to do HSK 3 after 6 month, but now it turned out I was able to pass HSK 4. I was really surprised about my very fast progress and really thankful for the good teachers at MiracleMandarin.

Why do I need Miracle Mandarin? Let me break it down for you: 1.Superb Visa and residence permit assistance – Always the bane of any foreigners stay in China. 2.Convenient locations throughout Shanghai – Especially the FuXing Rd campus. 3.Comfortable class sizes –Which enable suitable discussion to develop, but not so big that you feel like you don’t get a chance to practice your new language. (Also a very tasty hot chocolate machine, that I think makes me a little sleepy!) 6.Great language partner coordination – MM is happy to connect you with a local Chinese student who wants to do a language exchange, giving you the chance to actually use the words that you learnt that day! 7.AWESOME TEACHERS – Who although like to keep you on your toes, are always happy to revisit a topic that you might be a little confused about. I have been studying at MM since September 08 and all of my friends, especially my Chinese friends, have all commented on how far my Chinese has come in this short time. I know I have a long way to go to really be fluent, but I know that MM can help me get there! At MM, the teachers genuinely seem to enjoy their students. This relationship, which often becomes a first friendship in China helps motivate students to learning. For a long time, I will remember the time I was invited to Karaoke by my teacher, the time another teacher lent me a Chinese DVD or the time the whole class hung out at a coffee shop. In fact, soon after starting the first semester, our teacher even took us to a neigborhood grocery for some survival tips. Besides the teachers, I appreciate how seriously management takes my feedback and how attentive the course advisors are, always placing me in an appropriate level, month after month. The courses, tailored to the type of student (part-time / full-time intensive / business Chinese / HSK exam Chinese..) allow for you to learn with people who have the same motivation as you do.

I have been extremely satisfied with both the quality of the teachers as well as the class content itself. The atmosphere is intimate and intense, but not intimidating. Classes are set up in a horseshoe style which is conducive to conversation and full participation. Also, a huge benefit is the reasonable prices and the fact they could offer me a Student Visa. I have loved my time of this school.

Huaihai Campus

Located in the Former French Concession, Middle Huaihai Road is famous for its elegance and old Shanghai features. It is an ideal area if you want to feel the real Shanghai city life with a upper class taste with easy approach to shops, restaurants, bars and schools.

Miracle Mandarin Huaihai campus is located at 1285 Middle Huaihai Road, Shangfang Garden. This complex was set up in 1916 as a private garden of a British Jewish after whom the garden was named Sofa Garden. In 1933 Zhejiang Xingye Bank bought the land on which over 70 three-storey buildings were built in the garden-residence complex. Most of the premises are of brick-and-wood structure following Spanish style with disparate elevations and distinctive features. A small number of buildings are constructed in modern style. It was renamed Shangfang Garden in 1950s and inscribed by Zhang Yuanji who is a famous publisher and lives in the complex.

Jing An  is one of the central districts of Shanghai. Many of Shanghai's numerous expatriates live in Jing'an district because its business oriented, it has amazing restaurants and it houses several luxurious residential complexes in addition to having an extremely vibrant nightlife scene. Jing'an District was named after Jing'an Temple, an ancient traditional Chinese Buddhist temple located in the central area of this district.

Pudong is Shanghai's largest and most recently developed district. Lujiazui houses Shanghai's three tallest skyscrapers , the Shanghai World Financial Center, Jin Mao Tower, and the Pearl Tower

 

 

Shanghai, China, Xujiahui Campus

Located in the heart of the French concession. French town was a former foreign concession in Shanghai during the period of 1849 to 1946. It includes the area of Luwan and Xuhui District, which has always been Shanghai's most charming district. This campus is near many international restaurants, metro stations and nightlife.
