I just finished my second course at Miracle Mandarin and I must say even though the miracle has not made its appearance yet, I can feel it is somewhere close - just about to show up. My dear teachers Gu Yijun, Gao Yue, Zhang Ting and Qian Ya li have been amazing so far. Very patient and sooooo friendly. After making more than one approach to Chinese previously, I must say at Miracle Mandarin I finally found something useful!

My plan was to be able to do HSK 3 after 6 month, but now it turned out I was able to pass HSK 4. I was really surprised about my very fast progress and really thankful for the good teachers at MiracleMandarin.

Why do I need Miracle Mandarin? I have been studying at MM since September 08 and all of my friends, especially my Chinese friends, have all commented on how far my Chinese has come in this short time. I know I have a long way to go to really be fluent, but I know that MM can help me get there! At MM, the teachers genuinely seem to enjoy their students. This relationship, which often becomes a first friendship in China helps motivate students to learning. For a long time, I will remember the time I was invited to Karaoke by my teacher, the time another teacher lent me a Chinese DVD or the time the whole class hung out at a coffee shop. In fact, soon after starting the first semester, our teacher even took us to a neigborhood grocery for some survival tips. Besides the teachers, I appreciate how seriously management takes my feedback and how attentive the course advisors are, always placing me in an appropriate level, month after month. The courses, tailored to the type of student (part-time / full-time intensive / business Chinese / HSK exam Chinese..) allow for you to learn with people who have the same motivation as you do.

I have been extremely satisfied with both the quality of the teachers as well as the class content itself. The atmosphere is intimate and intense, but not intimidating. Classes are set up in a horseshoe style which is conducive to conversation and full participation. Also, a huge benefit is the reasonable prices and the fact they could offer me a Student Visa. I have loved my time of this school.

Terms & Conditions

General Rules & Regulations

Students must have valid medical insurance for their entire study period. Miracle Mandarin is not financially responsible for medical care required for students' accidents or illnesses occurring during their course of studies at Miracle Mandarin.
Miracle Mandarin is not responsible for any property loss on or off the school's premises.
Participants will be removed from the program without a refund if they engage in illegal, violent or improper behavior. Participants are responsible for any and all damages they cause and must directly compensate the owner of the property involved.
Audio and/or video recordings are not allowed in the classroom.
Religious or political promotional activities are strictly prohibited on the school premises.

Application and Payments

After receipt of the Course Agreement and invoice, pay the full tuition fee plus a one-time registration fee RMB400 to Miracle Mandarin, no later than one week before the start of the course. Payments can be done by cash (RMB only), credit card (in person), or bank transfer (contact Miracle Mandarin to get bank information).
Students paying by bank transfer are responsible for all bank transfer fees. Any bank fees charged to Miracle Mandarin shall be reimbursed by the student before starting of the first lesson.
Payment by credit card will involve1% extra for Chinese card, 3% for non-Chinese card bank pos fee, charged by the school.
Corporate clients who need to claim a company titled Fapiao, 10% of extra fee on top of tuition fee will be charged.

Refunds and Terminations

The refund policy and refund amount is listed in the following:
Excluding the non-refundable application fee and program deposit, and agent fee, if applicable, refunds will not exceed the table below:

School Schedule and Class Attendance

Classes start at the scheduled time. One class is 50 minutes. There is 10-minute break between classes.
Students are required to sign the class attendance form every time for the school to keep record.
A group class schedule is fixed. There are no make-up lessons, refunds or credits for classes missed by students through no fault of Miracle Mandarin.
There is no refund/credit for missed group classes or for termination of group/private studies before the end of the course other than as specified under "Refunds and Terminations".
If a group has less than three participants, Miracle Mandarin reserves the right to reduce each lesson from fifty minutes to thirty minutes, although for time tracking purposes this reduced time will still be treated as a full hour of classroom time.
Students, placed in classes that they feel are too easy or too hard, should contact a Course Consultant immediately after the first lesson in order to arrange a move to another class, which move is subject to class availability.
For private classes, all changes and absences must be communicated to a Miracle Mandarin Course Consultant in writing (e-mail, fax) or in person at least one working day before the scheduled class. Failure to do so will result in the student forfeiting one class.
Subject to the terms in the preceding paragraph, private classes may be rescheduled as long as the student finishes all classes before the course Finishing Date, which is documented in the Course Agreement. There is no refund/credit for private classes not completed by the Finishing Date.
If a student is away from class for over 3 weeks, the school reserves the right to change the schedule or the teacher (for private class only).

Visas

Students need to hold a legal, valid visa during their study in Miracle Mandarin.
Students wishing to obtain a visa through school are required to study for a minimum 13 weeks intensive course, immersion course or 100 hrs full time scheduled private course at Miracle Mandarin, and to pay all fees in advance.
Students wishing to get visa support must apply for the course and visa 4 weeks in advance. If student is outside China, 6 weeks advance before the course starting time is needed.
The visa will be cancelled when students caught by China police for any illegal action. Course will be terminated immediately and the students need to pay a fine of minimum 2000RMB to school for extra work with police loss and damage of school reputation.
